Las v\u00e1lvulas de bola ofrecen un sellado herm\u00e9tico y son ideales para aplicaciones de cierre. Las v\u00e1lvulas de mariposa son m\u00e1s adecuadas para tuber\u00edas de gran di\u00e1metro debido a su dise\u00f1o ligero y menor par de operaci\u00f3n. Los sistemas de alta temperatura requieren materiales especializados, mientras que las aplicaciones de alto ciclo se benefician de v\u00e1lvulas con menor par de operaci\u00f3n y menor desgaste.
